Design Like A Girl examines the often-overlooked gender disparities within the graphic design industry — from pay gaps and underrepresentation in leadership to the erasure of women designers from mainstream design history. My goal was to create a digital space that is both informative and reflective, encouraging viewers to question who gets recognized in design and why.
The visuals were greatly inspired by collage and protest posters, with images of female designers being the main focus to bring their names and faces into the light. A monochrome palette with sharp color accents symbolizes both the invisibility and resistance tied to this issue. Typography takes on a similar look to punk rock posters to communicate the anger and resistance I felt towards this topic.
